A closer look into our history
The history of Satron Instrument Inc. started already in the 1920’s when the government aircraft factory in Santahamina established a department for instrument repairs. In 1940’s the department was moved to Tampere and it became Valmet Instrument Works. Since 1998 we have been known as Satron Instruments Inc.
We have been a 100% Finnish company from 2003 onwards. We have our own R&D and design department. This makes us well equipped to meet the requirements of our customers. Our products are in use in over 92 countries all over the world in the pulp and paper, food and chemical engineering industries. We keep improving and developing our products, and testing them relentlessly.
In the beginning of 2019 the company moved to Pirkkala, a rapidly growing city next to Tampere. New modern premises started a new era in Satron’s long history – which we value while sharpening our vision, ready to take a closer look.
