SAVE
SAVE
SAVE has been designed for controlled and safe sampling of pulp slurry.
SAVE’s head is shaped and dimensioned to ensure a representative sample. The sampler head is inserted deep into the process pipe, past the water layer flowing along the pipe wall. SAVE’s interior parts can be flushed with water after the sample has been taken, to prevent build up or blockage of sampler. Since the sampling valve’s shut-off mechanism is at the head of the sampler, SAVE will not get blocked even during long duty intervals.
SAVE’s piston utilizes metal-to-metal sealing and does not include any wearing parts, such as rubber seals.
Key Features & Benefits
- Accurate and Repeatable Sampling
Designed to provide consistent samples regardless of process conditions — the sampler head is inserted deep into the process pipe, past the water layer flowing along the pipe wall. - Safe to Use
Mechanically secured construction ensures operator safety and prevents accidental sample discharge during high-pressure or high-consistency processes. - User-Independent Operation
Eliminates sampling variations caused by user technique. Ensures uniform samples across operators and shifts — essential for reliable quality control and lab analysis. - Compatible with Various Pulp Types
Suitable for consistency applications up to 7%Cs, including screened and unscreened pulp. - Multiple Mounting and Material Options
Available with various process connections and wetted materials to suit different media, pressures, and corrosion levels. - Maintenance-Free Design
Durable construction and minimal moving parts reduce maintenance frequency and extend equipment lifespan.
Typical Applications
- Pulp and Paper Mills:
Consistent sampling in process lines, screening stages, or bleach plant operations. - Recycled Fiber and Deinking Lines:
Sampling in lines with variable consistency and contaminant load. - Quality Assurance Systems:
Inline sampling for lab analysis, ensuring production meets customer and regulatory requirements. - Process Optimization:
Use SAVE with real-time sensors or analyzers to calibrate inline measurements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes SAVE different from other sampling valves?
SAVE ensures operator-independent sampling and consistent results regardless of process pressure, pulp consistency, or operator technique.
Can I use SAVE in high-consistency pulp lines?
No. It is recommended to use the SAVE H consistency sampler for consistency applications over 7%.
How is SAVE maintained?
The valve has a durable, service-friendly design that minimizes wear and extends maintenance intervals.
Is SAVE suitable for hazardous environments?
Yes. With the right material selection, SAVE can be safely used in chemically aggressive or high-temperature environments.
Can SAVE be customized for my process?
Absolutely. Satron offers several mounting types and wet material options to match your application.
